President Barack Obama swung through southeast Iowa yesterday as part of the “White House to Main Street Tour.” It was an attempt to highlight economic recovery efforts. Obama visited Ft. Maidison, Mt. Pleasant and Ottumwa. The president touted stimulus act funds and tax credits as some recovery efforts by his administration. He also admitted that much progress remains to be made, and that he is committed to issues affecting the middle-class.
