Washington County Supervisors are prepared to pay a zoning ordinance administrator between $35,000 and $45,000 annually. That’s the decision they arrived at during this week’s meeting. They also approved a job description for the position. It includes not only zoning, but also the subdivision ordinance and floodplain planning the county could undertake in the future. Supervisors instructed staff to advertise the position in the Des Moines Register, at regional colleges and universities with public administration programs and in professional publications.
