Iowa Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge is defending the administration’s budget draft. Last week the state auditor, who is a Republican, accused Governor Chet Culver, a Democrat, of submitting an unbalanced spending plan. Judge says “despite all the posturing,” there will be a balanced budget in place when the legislature adjourns in
April. Judge made her comments during a recent stop in Washington.
