A former student of Muscatine has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus Georgia. Matthew J. Kahler completed nine weeks of training including drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading,, military justice and tactics, physical fitness, first aid, Army history, core values and traditions. Kahler is the son of Gerry and Jodi Kahler of Kalona. Matthew graduated from Muscatine High School in 2003.
