The Washington County Riverboat Foundation has received 45 applications for grants during this year’s fall period. Some of the largest requests include more than a million dollars for business district revitalization in Kalona, $250,000 for the Wellman Parkside Recreation Center and $200,000 for improvements to Washington School facilities. All together, nearly three million dollars is being requested.
