The Washington Chamber of Commerce is officially supporting the proposed hotel-motel tax on next month’s ballot. In a weekly news letter, the chamber asks for support from members. It indicates that the tourism committee has been working on the matter for nearly a decade. It also says over time, a hotel tax will have a tremendously positive impact on visitors and tourists and bring more business to the city.
