The Washington Cattlemen’s Association is again sponsoring the share-a-calf program this year for area FFA and 4-H’ers. 4-H Youth Coordinator Kati Peiffer says one of the main advantages to the share-a-calf program is that youth do not have to pay for a calf until it is sold. Youth will draw a number for their calf during a weigh in on December 19 and will take the calf home the same day. Interested youth should contact the extension office at 653-4811.
