A State Senator from Fairfield wants students to know about a way to see how state government works for them. Becky Schmitz says the Senate Democratic Research staff is offering internships to give participants a behind the scenes look at the Iowa legislature. She says students of Iowa’s colleges and universities can earn credits and even a stipend.
