Yoga for Connection Classes

Prevention) and the Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program are offering series of “Yoga for Connection” classes via Zoom every Sunday in April. Fire Hydrant Flushing in Washington

The City of Washington Maintenance and Construction Department will be flushing fire hydrants starting April 5th and the process will last 10-14 days. Residents may experience temporary loss of water pressure, discoloration, rust, etc. Call 319-653-2947 with any questions.

Lions Club Blood Drive

The Washington Lions Club is co-sponsoring a Blood Drive with Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15th at the United Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Washington. Fiddler On The Roof

Mid-Prairie High School presents it’s spring musical, “Fiddler on the Roof,” with shows at 7 p.m. Friday, April 16th and Saturday, April 17th, plus 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18th. Washington Spring Cleanup

The Central Site Washington Spring Cleanup is 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17th at the Yard Waste Center and Waste Water Treatment Plant, 1065 West Buchanan Street. This is for Washington city residents only. Please, stay in your vehicle during drop off.  Bring your ID or copy of your utility bill. 4-H Dog Project Kickoff Meeting Set

April 17 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Washington County 4-H’ers interested in the Dog Project are invited to an informational meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Washington County Extension Office.   Department superintendents will discuss deadlines, records, scoring, training suggestions, and dog workout schedules.  The 4-H Dog Project has an obedience division and agility division.  Parents are encouraged to attend this kickoff meeting while dogs should not.  For more information, call 19/653-4811 or check out their Facebook page.
