The Washington Chamber of Commerce Presents their Thursday Night Live Concert series beginning Thursday, June 3rd. Each week musical acts will perform on the stage with the Washington Municipal band to follow.

The Chair-A-Thon Auction is coming to the Washington Central Park square Thursday, July 29th from 5-7p.m. They will auction off repurposed chairs that have been submitted. Proceeds from the event go toward the art mural on the State Theater.

Kirkwood for Kids Camp

Highland Shooting Sports Open Trap Shoot

The Highland Shooting Sports Team invites the public to an open trap shoot July 25th at noon at the Riverside VFW Post #6414. Current athletes from the Highland Shooting Sports Team along with members of the Riverside VFW Post #6414 and the community will shoot to showcase the newly installed trap house, shooting stations, wireless microphones and sidewalks.

UP Church/Grace Community Church Outdoor Worship

Washington United Presbyterian Church and Grace Community Church are holding worship in Central Park in Washington Sunday, July 25th at 10a.m. There will also be a pork burger picnic after the service. Paddle Into The Past

Paddle into the past is hosted by the Jefferson County Conservation Department from 10a.m. to 2p.m. Saturday, July 24th on the Lower Des Moines River. The event will begin at the Austin Park Campgrounds in Van Buren county. Participants will stop several times to hear about the river’s history and explore parts of the waterway.
