Paddle into the past is hosted by the Jefferson County Conservation Department from 10a.m. to 2p.m. Saturday, July 24th on the Lower Des Moines River. The event will begin at the Austin Park Campgrounds in Van Buren county. Participants will stop several times to hear about the river’s history and explore parts of the waterway. The event is open to everyone, but those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is $5 per boat. You can register online at JeffersonCountyConservation.com.
