Following the recent snow, temperatures are expected to drop in the KCII-listening area this week. According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, temperatures are forecasted to fall below zero both Wednesday and Thursday nights. Temperatures are then expected to rise to nearly 30 degrees going into the weekend.

People are reminded to take extra precautions to stay safe in cold weather. The NWS says people should wear layers of clothing when going outdoors, and remember to wear hats, gloves, and boots. People who are exposed to extreme cold can be at risk of frostbite on uncovered skin and their hands and feet. If possible, limit time outdoors in extreme cold.
