
An Oklahoma man that was arrested on sexual assault charges for a case in Louisa County has plead guilty.
According to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year old Jonathon Thomas Ruth was arrested in September in Mustang, Oklahoma at his residence following a five-month investigation.
Ruth was charged with one felony count of sexual abuse in the second degree; two felony counts of lascivious acts with a child; and indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor.
In April of this year, local authorities received a report of a sexual assault with a juvenile victim that occurred more than 10 years ago in Louisa County. The sheriff’s office outlines there are no statutes of limitation on alleged sexual offenses if the victim was under 18-years old at the time of the offense.
Ruth plead guilty to lascivious acts with a child, a class C felony during his trial on October 24th. According to court records, the State will recommend that Ruth receive a 10-year prison sentence, a fine in the amount of $1,720, and pay for court costs and court appointed attorney fees. He will be placed on the sex offender registry for a period of 10 years, and will be required to successfully complete the sex offender treatment program.
Ruth’s sentencing hearing has been scheduled for December 19th at the Louisa County Courthouse.
