A local group will be benefiting Latinos for Washington at a special event next month. The Community Foundation of Washington County is hosting its 16th annual fund raising dinner on Monday, November 10th at 6 p.m. at the Wooden Wheel Winery, located at 1179 Highway 92.
This year, Café Dodici of Washington will be preparing the meal. The suggested donation is $50 per person. Tickets should be reserved by November 3rd. Each year the Community Foundation chooses a beneficiary for the fundraising dinner, and this year it will benefit Latinos for Washington.
Latinos for Washington will be giving a short presentation about their organization at the start of the dinner, and back by popular demand, a dessert auction will be held featuring pies, cakes and special treats donated from area restaurants, bakeries and individuals from around the county.
Proceeds from this auction will benefit both Latinos for Washington and the Community Foundation. The foundation is overseen by a volunteer board of local citizens and permanently endows most of its assets. Since its inception in 2006, the Community Foundation of Washington County has distributed over $540,000 to non-profit causes here in the County.
