The Lone Tree school board has elected their newest president and vice president. In the final regular board meeting of the summer, Alex Ogren was elected board president while Christina Magruder was chosen as vice president.

Ogren was first appointed to the Lone Tree school board in July 2022. He was elected to the board in 2023, earning 58.8% of the vote in the 2023 general election. His term expires in November 2027.

Magruder was elected to a four-year term last November with 29.8% of the vote.

Ogren succeeds former board president Jennifer Eden, who vacated her seat earlier this summer. Ogren took over the duties as board president after Eden left the board. He previously served as board vice president after being elected to the position last November.

The board also officially accepted the results of their recent special election. Vida Wollrab and Alex Lorack were elected to two vacant seats on the board. The five-member board also includes Alecia Parizek, who was elected last November.
