A weekly grief support group is starting in Washington next week. Halcyon House in Washington will be hosting GriefShare. This is a support group designed to help individuals move through the grief process after losing a loved one.
GriefShare is led by those who have experienced loss. It is a network of over 15,000 churches worldwide equipped to offer grief support. The program is nondenominational and features biblical concepts for healing from your Grief. Each session begins with a video on a specific grief topic followed by a group discussion. The group is open to the public.
The support group will meet every Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. starting August 25th. It will run through November 17th in the Marshall Game Room at Halcyon House. Registration is $20 and includes a GriefShare workbook; scholarships are available. This program is sponsored by Faith Baptist Church in Washington.
