The ninth biggest story in Golden Hawk athletics from the last school year happened within the girls soccer program.

Fresh off of the schools first ever Regional Final appearance in 2025, the Hawks made more history during their most recent season.

The Golden Hawk defense put a stranglehold on opponents all year, posting a school record 10 shutouts, breaking the previous record of nine. Mid-Prairie victims included Columbus, Northeast Goose Lake, Tipton, West Branch, West Liberty, Anamosa, Monticello, Central Lee, Alburnett and Washington. The goose eggs for the Bears, Comets, Blue Raiders and Panthers were all in a row. The Hawks blanked the Pirates to set the new program standard.

In total, the Hawks had 11 wins this season, tying the school record for victories in a season. They finished 8-2-1 in the River Valley Conference. Five Golden Hawks, seniors Meadow Flynn, Kealy Roberts, Niva Helmuth, Avery Helmuth and junior Samantha Wunderlich were named All-River Valley. Flynn was named All-District and head coach Truman Shetler was named District Coach of the Year.
