A new mural is coming to downtown Washington and you can help bring it to life Saturday. 

The new Washington icons mural is located on the corner of West Main Street and North Iowa Avenue and features little icons that are representative of Washington. A few of the items featured include the rocket slide, Centennial Fountain, corn stalks, a film reel, and a fair ribbon.

Community members are invited to help paint in the icons on Saturday, June 6th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers will be there to assist painters as they fill in an icon on the mural. The mural artists will designate what colors go in each icon. This is open to community members, visitors, and people of all ages.

This mural project was made possible by the Hotel/Motel Tourism Committee and the Main Street Washington Art Committee.
