Two area archery teams have auto-qualified for the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) National Tournament with their performances at state. 

All of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk teams at all levels qualified for the National Tournament in both bullseye and 3D. The Golden Hawk high school team was third in the state in 3D and eighth in block. The middle school team was eighth in both specialties. It’s the first time in program history they have auto-qualified all teams for Nationals. Individually, Lael Seale, Jonathan Pickard and Elijah Statler were individual bullseye auto-qualifiers. Ava Miller auto-qualified in 3D for the Hawks. 

Washington High Schooler Hunter Barnes finished third in both 3D and bullseye to auto-qualify for Nationals. Washington’s Lincoln Elementary team were the bullseye State Champs and placed fifth out of 13 teams in 3D to earn their bid to the National Tournament. 

Top 10 teams individual finishers in each boys and girls specialty field were auto-qualifiers. The National Tournament is held Thursday, May 7th, through Saturday, May 9th, in Louisville, Kentucky.
