
The Washington Demon boys’ golf team was nothing short of dominant in its season opener at Fairfield, taking first place over its SEC rivals with a team score of 153.
Washington finished 11 strokes ahead of second place Fairfield. Rajan Roth was the top performer for both the Demons and the entire field, shooting a one-over 36. Kaleb Orr tied for second with a three-over 38. Drew Conrad tied for fourth with a 39. Carson Brown finished in a four-way tie for sixth with a 40. Ethan Peebler tied for tenth with a 41, while Landin Harris tied for 16th with a 45.
Behind the Trojans, Mount Pleasant finished third, Fort Madison took fourth, and Keokuk finished in fifth place. Washington starts its year at 4-0, and will take on the SEC once again this Thursday at Fort Madison.
