Sixteen Demon archers at Washington High School have been named Academic Archers through the National Archery in the Schools program, a title awarded excellence in the classroom as well as on the range.

Archers who received the award include Zakaria Abozena, Emma Alderton, Itzell Calixto, Jaelyn Entsminger, Christopher Graff, Isaiah Halvorson, Johannah Halvorson, Chloe Hoback, Ethan Hotchkiss, Zach Hotchkiss, Lyric Hotle, David Ide, Payton McDole, Mason Pierce, Charlee Read, and Bella Venega.

Academic Archer designation is done at the local level. To be named as an Academic Archer, a student-athlete must participate with either a competitive club or qualify through in-classroom work, and must maintain a satisfactory grade point average with no Ds or Fs.
