The boys and girls of Washington golf will tee off on a new season today.

The Demon girls start their season at home, hosting the rest of the Southeast Conference at Washington Golf and Country Club. Washington is under the tutelage of first year head coach Brandon Long, who takes over for former coach Drew Ayrit. The Demons return four starters from last year’s      8-37 squad, including sophomore Elizabeth Hora, juniors Lucy Sands and Sydney Stouder, and senior Presley Hora. The four are joined this season by senior Adalyn Long, junior Cecelia Mitchell, and freshman Ashlynn Long.

Meanwhile, the Washington boys will head to Fairfield for an SEC meet at the Fairfield Golf and Country Club. The Demons are coached by Collin Stark and Trevor Quigley. Washington returns several key athletes from last season’s 72-45 team, including a trio of seniors in Drew Conrad, Rajan Roth, and Carson Brown. Conrad led the team last season in both nine-hole average at 36.50 and 18-hole average at 77.13.

Both meets will begin at 4 p.m.
