A West Chester man was arrested on felony probation violation charges Sunday.

The Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Ed Carroll of West Chester on three Washington County warrants for probation violation on the original charges of possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, all class D felonies.

The charges stem from an arrest that took place in August of 2023, when Carroll was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, and given a deferred judgment with probation.

According to court records, Carroll failed to report for his scheduled probation meeting on December 11th, and officials were unable to make contact with him.

Carroll is being held in the Washington County Jail, a trial date has yet to be set.
