A tremendous senior season for the maroon and black sees Hillcrest Academy volleyball standout Niva Helmuth earning postseason awards. The Raven hitter was named Class 1A Southeast All-District by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. Helmuth finished second in the North Division of the Southeast Iowa Superconference with a team best 203 kills. She also led the Ravens with 37 blocks, third in the SEISC, and a .213 swing efficiency, fourth in the Superconference. Her 44 aces put her sixth in conference and Helmuth added 112 digs on defense. She was a First-team All-Conference selection. The Ravens finished the year with a 16-11 overall record, their first back-to-back winning seasons since 2017-18.
