Three newcomers, including two candidates for city council and one for mayor, knocked off incumbents in the recent Keota city elections.
Marking a major realignment in Keota’s city government, three newcomers will be serving Keota next year. Ryan Carr received over two thirds of the mayoral vote as he was elected as the city’s next chief executive in the city’s first contested mayoral race since 2019.
Keith Conrad was the only incumbent unscathed Tuesday night, as he was joined by Chad Griener and John Mather in being elected to the city council.
