
The Washington County Board of Supervisors have begun the process of finding a new Washington County Emergency Management Coordinator.
Interviews of candidates began last Thursday and Friday. The Supervisors had eight applicants for the position, with one to be interviewed today. Some of the applicants are from out of state. The second round of interviews will be conducted the week of the 20th. According to Supervisor Chair Richard Young, they hope to have the new coordinator hired and starting on July 1st or sooner.
The position became open when the previous Coordinator, Marissa Reisen, departed the office. She began her time as Washington County Emergency Management Coordinator in 2017.
