The City of Kalona is holding its annual Spring Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 27 from 8-11 a.m. Drop off of items will take place in the west parking lot in Kalona City Park.

This is not a free program, as electronics start at $10 or more and appliances start at $15 or more depending on size. Prices for other items will depend on size and weight, and will be determined on the day of the event.

Acceptable items include glass, plastics, scrap metal, furniture, small camping grills, appliances, and electronics. Banned items include yard waste, cardboard, tires, oil, shingles and building materials, asbestos, lightbulbs, hazardous waste, and lead acid batteries.
