Tonight is the final home cross country meet of the season for the Hillcrest Academy Ravens. Hillcrest was last in action Thursday at the University of Iowa where Micah Gerber led the boys with a new PR in 18:51 for a 70th place finish and Delaney Shaw PR’d for the Raven girls in 74th place in 25:06.

The Washington Demons will be in Kalona tonight. The Demon boys and girls both appear in the Class 3A poll from the Iowa Association of Track Coaches this week. The Washington boys are No. 12 with Micah Rees at No. 10 in the individual poll and the Demon girls are No. 11 this week with Iris Dahl at No. 15 individually. In their last action, the Demons won both team titles at their home meet last week with Rees taking the individual title for the boys and Dahl finishing runner-up in the girls race.

Lone Tree will also be at Hillcrest Monday. The Lions ran at last week’s Washington meet. They did not post team scores but were led by Vivian Zaruba in 15th in the girls race and Taylor Alberhasky was 67th for the boys.

Sigourney will join the action tonight. The Savages ran at Iowa City a week ago. They did not post a team score but were led in the girls race by Ellie Yates in 16th and Troy Klett took 17th for the boys.

The Keota Eagles will also compete. Last month in North English, Elyse Lyle was 14th for the Keota girls and Owen Morris led the Keota boys in 32nd place.

Other teams joining tonight’s meet include Burlington, the No. 5 in Class 1A Danville/New London boys and their No. 20 girls, English Valleys, Fairfield, HLV, the No. 2 in Class 1A Iowa City Regina boys and their girls, the No. 18 in Class 2A Mediapolis boys and their girls, Mount Pleasant, the No. 14 in Class 1A North Mahaska boys and their girls, the No. 2 in Class 3A Pella boys and their top ranked girls, Wapello, West Liberty and the No. 17 in Class 2A Williamsburg boys and their No. 10 ranked girls. Action continues into the evening at Hillcrest Academy.
