After 650 miles of driving roundtrip in their first three games of the season, the Winfield-Mt. Union football team will finally enjoy a home game tonight when they host New London in an important district clash.

The Wolves sit at 2-1 after dropping their first contest last week in a 68-52 slugfest to Iowa Valley. Cam Buffington was limited for a defense that gave up 526 yards on the evening. The Wolves’ offense has been dynamic averaging 61 points a game and they have amassed 1,124 yards on the ground. Cam Buffington has 12 touchdowns including nine rushing with 512 yards while Abram Edwards has reached pay dirt seven times with 327 yards of total offense. The Tigers are off to a slower start sitting at 1-2, but they are coming off of a decisive 52-0 victory over Tri-County last week. Dom Lopez has completed 41% of his passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns while adding four on the ground with 198 yards. Boden Pickle has 20.5 tackles to lead the defense.
