This weekend is the 50th annual Iowa Shrine Bowl in Cedar Falls and one KCII area football player will be suiting up.

WACO’s Jonah Clark will compete for the South team in the all star classic game that features some of the best graduating seniors in the state. The proceeds from the event goes towards the Shriners’ Children and the game has raised nearly $3 million for the hospital since 1973. The week consists of practice, meeting of Shriners’ Children, an honors banquet on Friday night, and a parade on Saturday morning all leading up to game time. Clark was a district MVP last fall for a 10-1 WACO team with the senior amassing 43 tackles including 9.5 for a loss and registering five touchdowns offensively. One area cheerleader will also be a part of the festivities in Addison Strovers of Sigourney.

The Iowa Shrine Bowl will commence at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
