Another day at the office meant another couple wins for the Sigourney summer teams on Monday when they downed South Iowa Cedar League foe HLV in a pair of games.

The softball team won their sixth in a row with a 10-0 win over the Warriors (2-7, 2-6) in five innings. Four runs in the first, three in the third, and three in the fifth was all the Savages needed to make it a short night. Darby Mitchell recorded a double and triple with one RBI and Rain Barthelman had a pair of singles for a nine-hit offense. Carly Goodwin surrendered just one hit in four innings of work in the circle and 11 of the 12 outs came via strikeout. The black and gold improve to 12-3 overall and 9-1 in the SICL.

Leading 5-2 in the fifth, the Savage baseball bats exploded for seven runs in that frame to win 12-2 at home. They finished with 15 hits led by Cade Streigle going 3-for-4 with two RBI and Max Phillips brought in three tallies on two hits. Levi Crawford tossed 3 1/3 innings surrendering two earned runs on four hits and two walks. Clay Morse recorded the final five outs without allowing a knock. Sigourney stays unbeaten moving to 11-0 overall and 9-0 in the conference.

Both Sigourney squads host Pleasantville tonight.
