The Washington archery team braved the wintry conditions on Saturday and made a trip to Eldridge where the varsity team placed fifth at the Lancer Bullseye Tournament. 

The Demons shot a score of 3099 with 108 bullseyes to finish fifth out of seven teams. Lane Frana led the way in third out of 92 high school boys with a score of 286 and 17 bullseyes. Ethan Mesch was sixth with a 281 and 15 bullseyes. The top Demon girl was Allison Rees placing seventh out of 78 high school participants with a 276 and 11 bullseyes. Other notable scores included Levi Applegate 275, Madison Conway 269, Landon Messer 254, Jesse Dye 254, and Dustin Levsen 250. 

Washington will next compete January 29th in Mount Vernon.
