The Lone Tree boys and girls basketball teams make the trip to Packwood tonight for a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader with the Pekin Panthers. These games were to have originally been played January 7th. The Lone Tree boys are 3-8 this year, 2-6 in league play after a 47-37 loss to rival Highland last week. On the season, Lone Tree scores 40 points, gives up 50 while shooting 32% and averaging 30 rebounds, and 15 turnovers per night. Adam Knock leads the Lions with nine points, two steals and two assists. Pekin is 3-8 this year, 3-5 in the Superconference after a 59-35 loss to Winfield-Mt. Union Tuesday. The Panthers score 47 a night and give up 52 while shooting 41% from the floor. They average 26 rebounds and 11 turnovers. Luke Long is the team leader at 14 points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks per game.

On the girls side, Lone Tree is 5-8 this year and 2-6 in the Superconference. They lost at Highland last Monday 47-30. The Lady Lions score 35 per game and give up 49 while shooting 28%. They average 28 boards and 25 turnovers a game. Kasey Chown leads Lone Tree at 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals a night. Pekin is also 3-8 for the year and 2-6 in conference. They were beaten by Winfield-Mt. Union 50-30 Tuesday. They score 33 per game and give up 43, shooting 29% from the floor to go along with 25 rebounds and 22 turnovers. Individually, they are led by Kerrigan Pope with 14 points, nine rebounds and three steals per night. These teams met to open the season with Lone Tree winning 44-22. Action starts tonight with the girls game at 6p.m. in Packwood.
