The Riverside City Council held a public hearing for the sale of a public lot along Cherry Lane during their regular meeting on January 4th. 

City Administrator Christine Yancey says that no comments were made during the hearing and that the council later approved the resolution for the sale of Lot 8 on Cherry Lane. She added the city started the development along the street and have continued to sell the lots over the last few years. The purchase of Lot 8 was approved for $40,000 by Bailee and Morgan Samson. Two unsold lots priced at $35,000 remain on Cherry Lane with five lots available for sale north of Cherry Lane on Galileo Drive and 21 lots available in the Northern Heights subdivision.
