An area basketball doubleheader in Columbus Junction was all WACO on Tuesday with the Warriors sweeping the Southeast Iowa Super Conference crossover action. 

The Warrior boys were humming all night en route to a 78-29 victory. They led just 19-12 after one, but a 59-17 run the rest of the game including a 29-10 second quarter set up the monstrous win. WACO assisted on 24 of 31 made field goals on 53% shooting. Vincent Jones led the way with 16 points and hunter Hughes had 12. Reece Oswald chipped in with 11 off the bench and Mason Miller brought in seven rebounds to go along with three steals. The Warriors improved to 2-1 and the Wildcats dropped to 1-2. 

The girls game saw WACO take an 18-5 lead after one and they carried the momentum all the way for a 55-38 victory. Despite the loss, Sera Vela had 14 points for Columbus and Lily Coil managed 10. The Warriors are now 2-2 and the Wildcats move to 1-5.
