Plenty of student athletes in Southeast Iowa were productive in the classroom to start the 2021-22 school year with WACO, Winfield-Mt. Union, and Lone Tree being represented on the academic all district team for 8-Player, District 6 football. 

To qualify for the award, players, managers, and cheerleaders must have recorded at least a 3.4 GPA for first quarter of the fall semester. WACO had the most representation in the league with 27 members including Jonah Clark, Grace Coble, Tanner Egli, Ty Egli, Grace Fort, Cody Graber, Lydia Hesseltine, Louden Huisenga, Colton Leichty, Kaden Leichty, John McLaughlin, Joel Meyer, Clayton Miller, Isaac Oswald, Simeon Reichenbach, Bailey Rice, Noah Rich, Gage Samo, Zach Schmitz, Oleh Shtefanchuk, Heaven Steege, Taylor Sutton, Tyler Sutton, Jakayla Vradenburg, Bryel Wagler, Chase Waterhouse, and Owen Wolf.

Winfield-Mt. Union had 22 individuals recognized including Christopher Alvarez, Cam Buffington, Cooper Buffington, Nick Crow, Abram Edwards, Caleb Faler, Lane Genkinger, Caleb Giese, Allison Humphreys, Griffin Humphreys, Isabel Kann, Jobey Malone, Kai Malone, Teagan McDowell, Cole Milks, Abby Miller, Eli Miller, Isaac Schurr, Sullivan Scott, Noah Sparrow, Konner Wade, and Isaac Wilson. 

Lone Tree had 16 members make the cut in Tyce Alt, Oliver Altenhofen, Ethan Bockelman, Joe Boxwell, Harry Brenneman, Drew Gauley, Dominic Graap, Mathew Hemsted, Andrew Hotz, Maddox Jondle, Mitch Koedam, Cade Patterson, Jack Patterson, Cade Shield, Braden Diers, and Ethan Willoz. 

In total, 133 individuals were recognized across seven schools in the district.
