shantel-forrest

A Hiawatha woman has been ordered to serve jail time for violating her probation on a Washington County case.

Washington County Attorney John Gish states that 38-year-old Shantel Forrest was charged with violating her probation a second time last December for an original conviction of delivery of oxycodone, a class C felony, for a March 24th offense. Gish says during her last year of supervision, Forrest continued to violate supervision and did not take it seriously. He argued her suspended sentence should be revoked in its entirety and asked the court to send her to prison for 10 years. Instead, Judge Joel Yates ordered Forrest to serve 80 days in jail and then dismissed her from probation.
