Sigourney has had Tri-County’s number on the volleyball court for over a decade and that trend was not about to change on Monday, as the Savages invaded Thornburg and managed a four set victory.

The Savages recorded the South Iowa Cedar League win with scores of 25-18, 24-26, 25-19, and 25-19. Raegan Rozenboom paced the offense with 10 kills while Amiya Smallwood and Macy Fisch added seven. Brookelynn Hemsley set up most of the offense with 28 assists, Madelynn Hornback registered 22 digs, and the team served at an 90% efficiency with seven aces.

The win is the 10th in a row for the Savages against the Trojans and 25th out of the last 26 meetings dating back to 2008. Sigourney is now 12-8 overall, 5-2 in the SICL, and they travel to BGM (1-17) on Thursday.
