Another strong season on the diamond for the Highland baseball team translated to a lot of postseason awards and the Southeast Iowa Super Conference recently named eight Huskies all conference players. 

Chase Schultz received the highest distinction in the north division with co-player of the year honors along with Jaxon Brooks of Mediapolis. The junior established himself as one of the best hurlers in the area finishing with a conference best eight wins, he struck out 74 batters to rank first in the league, and produced a 1.15 ERA in 54 2/3 innings of work. Schultz also raked at the dish with a .489 on base percentage and 15 RBI. Other first team selections included catcher Trevor McFarland, infielder Luke Miller, and outfielder Logan Bonebrake. McFarland brought in 23 tallies while supporting a .303 average, Miller led the team with a .505 OBP and was plated 27 times, and Bonebrake hit .324 with 22 RBI. 

Second team selections included Connor Grinstead as a pitcher and Kaige Vonnahme as a utility player. Grinstead produced a 3.98 ERA in 31 2/3 frames and came around to score 24 times offensively. Vonnahme hit .356 and brought in a team best 24 runs. Bryce Thompson and Brenton Bonebrake rounded out the list being named honorable mention. Thompson was successful on all 19 stolen base attempts and got on base 44% of the time. Brenton Bonebrake registered a .438 OBP and recorded 18 RBI. 

Highland finished second in the division with a 13-3 league mark and 16-9 overall.
