Two area softball players represented their school one final time on Saturday by competing in the all star games by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Washington’s Kellie Dallmeyer and Winfield-Mt. Union’s Madie Anderson hit the diamond in Waukee for the senior all star series. The duo were a part of the red team and they split a pair of contests by beating the white team 7-5, but falling to the blue 3-2. Dallmeyer was a headliner in the win with a three-run blast and Anderson pitched seven total innings on the day surrendering just one hit and one walk with 11 strikeouts. A total of 41 seniors from across the state made up the three teams.

Dallmeyer will continue her softball career next year in Saint Paul, Minnesota at St. Thomas University and Anderson will play for Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa.
