Thursday was a tough night for the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk soccer programs as both squads suffered setbacks in Williamsburg. The No. 5 ranked Golden Hawk boys were beaten 2-1 in overtime. The Golden Hawks lone tally was from Jack Pennington who beat the Raider defense with help from an Ethan Trimpe assist. The Hawks piled up eight shots on goal but couldn’t get on the board again, leaving the door open for Williamsburg to steal the contest late. With the loss, Mid-Prairie is now 7-2 on the year.

The Golden Hawk girls were also beaten by the Raiders 3-0. Williamsburg got one goal in the first half and two insurance goals after the break. With the loss, Mid-Prairie is now 7-5 on the season.
