At around 11p.m. Saturday, May 1st the Wapello Police Department and Louisa County Sheriff’s Office partnered to execute a narcotics related residential search at 209 North Vine Street in Morning Sun. This was the culmination of a month’s long investigation into distribution of methamphetamine and other drugs in the Wapello and Morning Sun area. In the search, authorities discovered methamphetamine, drug money, evidence of narcotic sales and distribution and various pieces of paraphernalia. Four arrests were made in connection to the search.

Forty-four year old Randy Ford of Morning Sun was charged with a Class B Felony for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, having a gathering where controlled substances are present and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Forty-one year old Priscilla Watkins of Morning Sun was charged with a Class D Felony for having a gathering where controlled substances are present, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Forty-one year old Matthew Watkins of Morning Sun was charged with a Class D Felony for having a gathering where controlled substances are present, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fifty-six year old Gino Hale of Morning Sun was charged with a Class D Felony for having a gathering where controlled substances are present and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All subjects are currently at the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office on bond. The Wapello Police Department, Louisa County Sheriff’s Office and Wapello Police Reserve Unit were involved in the investigation.
