Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Washington County Saturday evening.

At about 5:20 p.m. a 16-year-old driver from Riverside was westbound in a Chevy Trailblazer at the intersection of 150th Street and Highway 218 when they were attempting to cross southbound traffic, according to Iowa State Patrol. The driver pulled out as 73-year-old Agustin Rodriguez Muneton of Ainsworth was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the southbound inside lane. The Chevy pulled out as the Jeep was passing, striking the Chevy on its driver’s side. Muneton and a passenger were both transported by Washington County Ambulance Service to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Riverside Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
