Des Moines will be the new home for Keota’s Brady Duwa next fall, as the senior recently announced via social media his intentions to sign with the Grand View University football team.

The 6’2’’ 195 pound Duwa will be a defensive back for a Viking team that has won 82% of their games in the last decade including a national title in 2013 for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Duwa was first team all state this past year for the Cobras and did a little bit of everything including recording five interceptions, 30 tackles, and compiling 12 touchdowns offensively with 831 total yards. The captain helped Sigourney-Keota to their first dome appearance since 2005.

S-K Head Coach Jared Jensen expressed his excitement for Duwa. “Grand View is a great program and have shown they are NAIA National contenders every year. It didn’t take that program long to go from start up to champions. I think it is a great opportunity for Brady and I think he will fit in really well.”

Duwa will officially wrap up his high school career this summer participating in the Shrine Bowl along with future Viking teammate and current Washington senior Trashaun Willis.
