A pair of freshman standouts headlined Winfield-Mt. Union in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference All-Conference Boys Basketball teams with four Wolves making the cut. 

Cam Buffington and Abram Edwards busted onto the scene in their rookie campaigns en route to a first team selection in the north division. The 6’2’’ Buffington finished second in the league in scoring with 17.2 points per game and his 79 offensive rebounds ranked first. The freshman shot 46% from the floor, hauled in 9.5 boards a contest, recorded 54 assists, and 26 steals. Edwards also brought in 9.5 rebounds a game that was a tie with Buffington for first in the league, was second in blocks with 55, and fifth in assists with 58. The 6’5’’ post player recorded 13.5 points a game at a 45% clip. Seniors Bryce Wade and Jacob Kongable were recognized as honorable mention. Wade had matching points and rebounding totals with 5.6 a night while Kongable managed 43 assists and 17 steals.

The four players helped the Wolves to a 9-10 season.
