A tall order awaits the Washington girls’ basketball team tonight in DeWitt when they face off with #5 Central DeWitt in a Class 4A regional semifinal.

Down by two with 10 seconds left, Makenna Conrad drilled her only three of the night that proved to be the game-winner. Senior Anna Nacos scored the team’s first 14 points and she averages 9.3 on the season. Alex Murphy accounts for six of the team’s 25 rebounds a night. The Sabers are 14-2 and finished second in the Mississippi Athletic Conference. They score 53 points a game and only give up 41. Taylor Veach and Allison Meadows are a dangerous one-two punch with 19 and 16 points a contest, respectively.
