The Mid-Prairie boys basketball team made it back-to-back wins on Saturday with a 50-40 home victory over the Cascade Courgars. The first half was tight with the Golden Hawks up 10-6 after one and just 24-23 at the half. Out of the locker room, Mid-Prairie took control, putting together a 19-6 run that spanned the entire third quarter to open up a 14 point advantage. The Golden Hawks did enough down the stretch to keep the Cougars at arms length. Mid-Prairie shot 57% from the floor as a team and 46% from three point land. The Golden Hawks outrebounded the Cougars by five. Carter Harmsen led Mid-Prairie with 16 points, Ethan Kos added 10. With the win, Mid-Prairie is now 7-3 on the year. They will host Tipton on Tuesday.
