The red hot Hillcrest Academy boys basketball team is back in action Saturday when they welcome the Danville Bears to Hillcrest Union in Kalona. The Ravens are back over .500 on the season at 5-4 overall and 4-3 in league play, thanks to a three game winning streak out of the Christmas break. So far this week the Ravens have made victims of Morningstar Academy, Lone Tree, and most recently Winfield-Mt. Union Friday 38-36 in come from behind fashion on the strength of 19 points from Eli Ours. For the year, Ours leads the Ravens, averaging 16 points per game, fourth most in the Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division. Ours also is best for the Ravens at three assists and three steals per game. John Hughes leads Hillcrest on the glass with four rebounds per contest.

Danville enters play with an overall record of 5-2, the Bears are 4-2 in the Superconference. They were beaten by Cardinal on Tuesday 52-45 despite 15 points from Caiden Gourley. On the year the Bears are led by Gourley and Ty Carr each at 13 points per game. Carr has a team best four assists per game average to go along with two steals. Sawyer Nelson is best for the Bears at six rebounds per contest, 10th in the Superconference South.
