Mid-Prairie’s Carter Harmsen continues to put up impressive offensive numbers this season for the Golden Hawk boys basketball program. Harmsen, a junior, is averaging 25.5 points per game, second best in class 2A in Iowa and sixth in the state regardless of class. He started the year with a bang, posting a career high 36 in a loss to Williamsburg to open the season. Harmsen is shooting 49% from the floor for the season, 40% from three point land and 86% from the line. He is also averaging nine rebounds and three assists per game. The Golden Hawks are 3-1 on the season and will get back on the floor Monday against Northeast Goose Lake in Wellman.
