Two vehicles collided and one person was taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital Tuesday morning. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 7:06 a.m. the wreck happened at Highway 1 and 190th Street, also known as G26. The two drivers were Trey Carlson of Keota and Jane Blieu of Washington.

Three Washington County Sheriff’s deputies, two Washington County Ambulances, the Kalona Fire Department, Kalona QRS, and Washington County Rescue responded to the scene. Washington County Ambulance transported one person to the hospital.

Carlson was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
